At Paddock Advisor we provide a tailored management plan for your paddock.
Whether its for horses, sheep or hay meadows we cater for all uses.
We offer a 6 section approach
(1) Physical Assessment
Personal visit where we visually assess the condition of the paddock, topography, poaching issues, stocking and finally a soil texture test. Weed assessments will also be carried out.
(4) Soil Structure Assessment
Assessments of the soils structure focusing on soil structure. Advice given for soil aeration on poached/compacted areas.
(2) Soil assessments
We use the GPS fitted buggy to sample each paddock individually or split paddocks into sampling zones. As with Soil Advisor service we GPS mark every sample of complete traceability of your results. From these results we then tailor a fertiliser programme that will suit your grazing system to help get the most out of your leys.
(5) Management Plan
A tailored plan is then created for your specific paddock(s). All of the above is incorporated into a month by month maintenance calendar.
(3) Weed Management
Herbicide recommendations can be made following the visual assessment to control problem weeds such as Ragwort, Thistles, nettles etc.
(6) Fertiliser Recommendations
Fertiliser recommendations can be designed making sure they are tailored to your leys specific requirements.
Extra Services
Additional services include tissue testing to see what’s actually in your grass, grass ley advice.
